DATURA Quercifolia, commonly known as the oak-leaved thorn-apple, is a small shrub in the genus Datura native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. The flowers of the Datura Quercifolia open only at night and are pollinated by nocturnal creatures such as the Hawk Moth. We have taken this as a point of departure for this work, and created a piece that moves from dusk to dawn. This also a references the darkness of the COVID-19 night that we are all currently living in. This work was designed, created and performed from six separate locations and brought together remotely for the final live stream on Facebook.
